Scuba Diving in Dhiyadhoo Thila

Location: East of Hadahaa

This is a submerged reef at a channel entry ranging from 5 – 30+ meters in depth.

Coral life: Exceptionally healthy and expansive. 70% of the dive site is covered with soft corals (Alcyonidae), and includes a large area full of lettuce corals.

Marine life: Large schools of fish, hawksbill and green turtles, Napoleon wrasse, white tip and black tip reef sharks, dog-tooth tuna, eagle rays, nurse sharks, moray eels, and occasionally dolphins are spotted here.

Dive technique: The dive site is situated in the middle of a channel therefore there is quite often strong currents and most areas of the site are located in greater depths.

Experience level: Advanced and Nitrox Divers only.
