Scuba Diving in Maarehaa Thila

Location: Southeast of Hadahaa, west of Maarehaa Island

This is a shallow pinnacle, with the top of the reef starting from 5 – 7 meters deep. It is approximately 30 – 40 meters in diameter, with sides slowly sloping down to 30+ meters.

Coral life: Very healthy hard corals, soft corals and an abundance of anemone.

Marine life: This site is often referred to as “Nemo Thila” because of the overwhelming amount of anemone fish (clown fish). Large schools of fusiliers, glass fish, bait fish, and rainbow runners are always sighted. Turtles, octopuses, scorpion fish, lion fish and white tip reef sharks can also been spotted.
